It’s dark here. I miss the sun.
A week of family, being back in the city and the suburbs, shopping, seeing the sun, and being away from work. I am still exhausted, but we did have the best time with our families. Staying with the Pugh’s was fun. It’s good to get to know them better. We went to an ISU game and tailgated with some friends of Jim & Janet. It was comical to see how they hang out with their friends. Then we drove up to visit with Andy’s grandma. That was nice, too. I’m glad we had the chance to spend some time with her– and she made us the greatest fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, rolls, cranberry relish, and pecan pie dinner ever. Just for us!
Then on to Milwaukee to stay with my parents. We had a good time. Good Mexican food (yes, Milwaukee has surprisingly excellent Mexican food), more shopping, a new suit for Andy(and he looks so handsome), my favorite coffee shops and restaurants, the art museum, City Market, and of course good cheese & beer. We seemed to be so busy all the time… our vacations always turn out that way.
But we are glad to be back. Even though I’m not always thrilled that I live in Fairbanks, it does feel really good to be home to our own place.
